These Finesse jig heads are 1/8 ounce, but in completed form weigh approximately 3/16 oz. Finesse jigs are made of these finest materials, “fine strands of living rubber, Mustad super sharp hooks, (colorful flash material if desired) and a unique collapsible and formable weed guard system.” The weed guard material allows this jig to have a tremendously better hooking rate, simply because it is pliable, which means when a fish bites down on the guard, the weed guard collapses, allowing the angler a positive hook set! The weed guard can be formed in any fashion the angler desires after removing the fish from the jig hook or at any desired time.
(Forming the weed guard material around a pencil works great)!
The Finesse bass jigs are designed to catch all bass, which includes large mouth, spotted and small mouth bass. These jigs excel when it comes to finicky and highly pressured bass, which have seen just about everything!
Adding a small finesse plastic trailer to these jigs is highly recommended. Add a very small crawdad, a plastic fork tail worm, or spinner-bait trailer, (cutting it shorter), or add a 3” Mojo Reefer bait for unbelievable action!
